For as long as I can remember – back to Little League practice as a kid – throwing athletes have been doing a stretch that seemed like a really good idea when we first learned it. The video linked below gives some insight as to why a stretch intended to give Quarterbacks a good rotator cuff and deltoid stretch actually does more to destabilize the shoulder joint – and should be avoided. In its place, there are several options for stretches that are safe and effective.
