About our Director and Co-Director
Coach Johnston is currently preparing for his second season as the Quarterbacks Coach at Monroe College where his QB broke the program passing TD record during the 2023 season.
Coach was previously the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator Hudson Catholic Regional HS in Jersey City, NJ (2018 NJSIAA Group 2 Non-Public State Semi-Finalist and 2015 State Finalist) in Jersey City, NJ, where his Quarterbacks received post-season honors in each of the past five seasons.
Coach Johnston was previously the Quarterbacks Coach at Poly Prep in Brooklyn, NY. The Blue Devils finished 2010 ranked #6 in the NY Post and #10 in the NY Daily News final football polls, and Coach Johnston’s 2011 Poly Quarterback signed an NCAA FCS scholarship offer in February, 2012 and earned all Brooklyn honors in 2011.
Prior to Poly, Coach Johnston was the QB and DB Coach at Hudson Catholic Regional High School (2007 Group 3 State Semi-Finalist and 2008 Group 2 State Finalist) in Jersey City, NJ, where his Quarterbacks received post-season honors in five of his six seasons. Coach Johnston also served as the Defensive Coordinator, Assistant Head Coach, and Quarterbacks Coach at Xavier High School in New York, NY. Coach Johnston’s assessment and coaching skills have earned him a solid reputation among his coaching peers and thousands of athletes for his ability to develop Quarterbacks.
Ryan O’Flaherty
Coach O’Flaherty is entering his seventh season as Offensive Coordinator at Saint Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, NJ (2018 NJSIAA Group 4 Non-Public State Semi-Finalist and 2017 State Finalist).
Prior to being named OC, Coach O’Flaherty served as the Wide Receiver and Defensive Backs Coach for 5 seasons at Saint Peter’s, coaching six scholarship WRs, eight scholarship DBs – placing students at programs such as Alabama, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Notre Dame, Stanford, Rutgers, U Mass and the Naval Academy.
Before St. Peter’s, Coach O’Flaherty was the Offensive Coordinator, QB and DB Coach at Hudson Catholic Regional HS – also in Jersey City, where he produced three offensive All-County performers in his last two seasons with the program. Coach O’Flaherty earned All-County Honors as a QB at Hudson Catholic and played QB at Utica College.Coach O’Flaherty has been working with Complete QB since 2006, and is an integral member of the core team, assisting with the planning and coordination of the Complete QB Quarterback Development Camps. Coach O’Flaherty also provides individual and group training, as well as direction of Team programs.
